Suddently she heart a voice, she loocked around her body but, only the darkness, she couldn't do more but to rely on this mild, soft, smooth voice coming from the bottom of her heart :
"And never look back."
she didn't plan to. The only things she'd see if she looked back were his own footsteps, each telling a different story of pain, of misfortune. No one else walked this road. Yet, the footsteps would be there if anyone wanted to read his past, if anyone else happened along this empty road.
"Keep on going."
It hurt so much. her feet were sore and raw, her legs aching. While she never went above the pace of a quick walk, her lungs weakly requested more oxygen, more air. she kept on going. When she couldn't walk, she crawled. Dragging herself along the rough pavement, she found ragged scratches all over her body. And yet he never stopped.she left the blood on the road, in case anyone else happened to find the street and wanted to read his past, her pain.
"Never give up."
Nothing could stop her. Her legs ached, her feet needed a month's rest, and her lungs never had enough air, but she did not stop. When she couldn't crawl, she found a way to move. Every movement counted. she could not stop. she would not stop. Though her body suffered more than should have been realistic, she took another step and found that he had moved two. she was getting closer.
